Well, I was actually able to make the meet last Wednesday, much to my surprise.
Earlier that day went to Jacks cafe (chippie) at Bagshot, where met Graham and two new members (new to me although they have been going to the meets all year - whilst I haven't). Loads of cool bikes, most of them old Brit bikes. Weather permitting, same again this week. The chips are to die for, best I think i've tasted.
Saturday I went up to Hughendon M40 to have a look at the new range of bikes. The 120 looks the business, apart from one thing that did niggle. The USB charger port is where? Well you use it to charge your mobile phone and /or satnav as you ride along, right? So it would be in an easily treachable place and convenient for use. That's right, it's hidden under the seat and doesn't look like a USB because it's then hidden under a plastic bung. Triumph have solved any possible problems with this though. You can purchase an auxilary power socket at £25 plus fitting, price to be confirmed. Mmm.
Best of all though was the Thruxton R - awesome. Did a quick check on Triumph website today to see how much it woulkd cost with all the add ons I (thought) I wanted. Nearly £13,600. A lot of toot for someone who's nearly an old aged pensioner. Now, where's my lottery ticket.
